digiPost uses it’s own rich interface rather than integrating with Outlook. There are a few reasons for this, mainly in relation to security but providing sufficient control over the message and enough functionality through Outlook used to be a limiting factor for us. We find our clients; lawyers, accountants, insurance brokers like the clear separation between normal, all day, every day messages (in Outlook) and messages that need to be secure, controlled and transactional (in digiPost). The notifications for inbound and outbound messages still appear in Outlook and it is only one click to gain access to them.
